Fairey Albacore

The Fairey Albacore was a carrier-borne torpedo-bomber biplane built to replace the Swordfish, which it never entirely managed to do. Flown by the Fleet Air Arm, it served in the Mediterranean, the Arctic and over the Normandy beaches in the torpedo, bombing and reconnaissance roles.
