Notes
Delivered to No. 460 Squadron RAAF in October 1942, ‘G for George’ flew 90 operations over occupied Europe and brought home alive every man who flew in it. Retired from operations in 1944, it was flown to Australia by a crew of Bomber Command veterans for a war-bond tour and is now preserved at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra — the second most-flown surviving Lancaster, after R5868.
No sorties recorded for this airframe yet.
