Notes
AJ-T was the reserve Lancaster taken by Flight Lieutenant Joe McCarthy, an American serving in the RCAF, after his own aircraft became unserviceable at the last moment. He attacked the earthen Sorpe dam — which needed a different run along the crest rather than across the water — and returned safely. The aircraft survived the war.
