Notes

Lancaster ME323 (PH-P) of No. 12 Squadron left Wickenby on 3 March 1945 for a night training flight. Returning over the Humber it was caught by a Luftwaffe intruder of NJG5 during Operation Gisela — the mass night-fighter infiltration of the returning bomber stream — and shot down at about 01:08, crashing between Stockwith and Blyton. All seven crew were killed.
