Notes

Spitfire Mk I K9791 was held as a reserve and trials aircraft, including cannon mock-up work, gun-firing trials, De Havilland propeller trials and overload fuel-tank trials. It later received a Merlin XII and served with the Photographic Development Unit at Benson before failing to return from operations on 17 August 1940.
