No. 15 Group

Coastal Command

No. 15 Group of Coastal Command controlled the Western Approaches from its headquarters at Liverpool, working closely with the Royal Navy in the Battle of the Atlantic. Its long-range patrol aircraft escorted convoys and hunted U-boats across the north-western approaches to the British Isles, the most critical waters of the anti-submarine war.
