No. 201 Group — Naval Co-operation
Coastal Command
No. 201 (Naval Co-operation) Group was the maritime group of RAF Middle East, working with the Royal Navy in the eastern Mediterranean. Its squadrons flew convoy escort, reconnaissance, and anti-shipping and anti-submarine patrols from bases in Egypt and the Levant, helping to keep open the sea lanes that supplied the Eighth Army.
