No. 221 Group
2nd Tactical Air Force
No. 221 Group directed the tactical air forces supporting the Fourteenth Army in Burma. Through the Imphal and Kohima battles and the reconquest of Burma, its fighter, bomber and transport squadrons flew close support, interdiction and the air-supply missions that kept the army fed and moving through the jungle.
