No. 44 Group
Transport Command
No. 44 Group was a transport group of RAF Transport Command, organising air transport and the ferrying of aircraft within the United Kingdom and onward to the overseas commands. It worked the home end of the great wartime ferry and supply routes, and after the war was amalgamated into No. 46 Group.
