Transport Command
No. 45 Group ran the Atlantic ferry organisation of RAF Transport Command, based in Canada. Its crews delivered thousands of North American-built aircraft across the North Atlantic to Britain and on to the war fronts, turning the hazardous ocean crossing into a routine air-ferry operation.
