No. 70 Group — Army Co-operation Training
Army Cooperation / AOP
No. 70 Group was the army-cooperation training group of the RAF, split from No. 22 Group in November 1940 to handle the growing task of training units to work with the Army — tactical reconnaissance, artillery spotting, close support and the training of anti-aircraft defences. Part of the short-lived Army Co-operation Command, it later passed to Air Defence of Great Britain and existed until July 1945.
