No. 91 Group — Training

No. 91 Group was one of RAF Bomber Command’s training groups, controlling a number of Operational Training Units in southern and central England. On its airfields newly qualified aircrew were formed into crews and worked up on Wellingtons before posting to the main-force groups; its OTUs also flew operational sorties, including contributions to the early ‘thousand-bomber’ raids.
