History
No. 332 (Norwegian) Squadron formed at Catterick in January 1942 as a Spitfire fighter squadron manned by Norwegian airmen. It joined No. 331 Squadron at North Weald, flew offensive sweeps over occupied France, and took part in the Dieppe operations. In 1943 the Norwegian squadrons became part of Second Tactical Air Force, providing D-Day fighter cover and then moving to the continent for armed reconnaissance and attacks on enemy transport and communications before returning to Norway in 1945.
