About
RAF Warboys opened in Cambridgeshire in 1941 and became one of the original stations of the Pathfinder Force in No. 8 Group. No. 156 Squadron flew Vickers Wellingtons and then Avro Lancasters from it, marking targets for the main bomber stream, and the Pathfinder Navigation Training Unit was also based there. After the war it briefly held Bloodhound air-defence missiles, and the site has since returned to farmland and light industry.
