About

RAF Tuddenham opened in Suffolk in 1943 as a Bomber Command station in No. 3 Group. No. 90 Squadron flew Short Stirlings and then Avro Lancasters from it on the offensive against Germany, joined later by other Lancaster squadrons. After the war it had a brief second life as a Thor ballistic-missile site, and the land has since returned to farming.
