About

RAF Tealing opened in Angus, Scotland, in 1942 as a fighter operational training unit, where pilots learned their trade on Hawker Hurricanes, Miles Masters and later Supermarine Spitfires before joining front-line squadrons. The Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov landed at the field in 1942 on his way to meet Churchill. Training ended in 1945, and the airfield is no longer in use.
