The highest decoration of the Soviet Union. Only four RAF airmen ever received it — all for No. 151 Wing's 1941 expedition to northern Russia (Operation Benedict): Group Captain Ramsbottom-Isherwood, Squadron Leaders Anthony Rook and A. G. Miller, and Flight Sergeant Charlton Haw.
