Biography
Flying Officer Douglas John Evans of the Canadian air forces served as the navigator of Lancaster ND842 with No. 12 Squadron, Royal Air Force. On 1 July 1944 the aircraft was lost on the raid on Vierzon. He was killed in action, aged 28. He is commemorated at Runnymede Memorial, United Kingdom.
