Biography

Pilot Officer John Edward Estell of the Australian air forces served as the pilot of Lancaster LL958 with No. 100 Squadron, Royal Air Force. On 1 July 1944 the aircraft was shot down on the raid on Vierzon. He was killed in action, aged 20. He is buried at La Ferte-St. Cyr Communal Cemetery, France.
