History
No. 26 Operational Training Unit was formed at RAF Wing in Buckinghamshire on 15 January 1942, training Vickers Wellington night-bomber crews within No. 92 Group. It used the satellite airfield at Little Horwood. As one of the later-formed Wellington OTUs it trained crews through the most intensive period of the bomber offensive of 1943–45 and continued briefly into the post-war period before disbanding in 1946.
