Notes
Hampden AT129 (EA-O) of No. 49 Squadron took off from Scampton at 17:12 on 25 January 1942 for operations over Brest. Shortly after take-off the aircraft suffered a double engine failure, banked steeply to port, dived and crashed almost immediately, killing all four crew. A memorial plaque to the crew stands within a wooden shelter at the Bransby Equestrian Centre.
