No. 84 Group
2nd Tactical Air Force
No. 84 Group was a composite group of the Second Tactical Air Force, supporting the First Canadian Army in North-West Europe. Flying Spitfires, Typhoons and Mustangs from forward strips, it provided air cover and ground-attack for the coastal flank of the Allied advance, including the clearing of the Channel ports and the Scheldt estuary.
