Biography
Flying Officer Walter Bennett Beatty of the Canadian air forces served as the bomb aimer of Lancaster LL863 with No. 101 Squadron, Royal Air Force. On 1 July 1944 the aircraft was shot down on the raid on Vierzon. He was killed in action, aged 20. He is buried at St. Doulchard Communal Cemetery, France.
